Is there another way to do this?Īre you creating your new vectors using the Create Polyline tool? If so, is the Tool Settings: Create Polyline panel's Add to existing line check box selected while you're working? This check box enables you to snap to the end node in an open vector and join a new polyline to it, avoiding your issue with unjoined vectors. I just tried making two vectors connect but I changed the start of the second vector by 0.001". Each vector technically overlaps the end of one vector is the beginning of the next. Before when I was connecting new vectors I would type in the end point of the previous vector. So I may have figured out a way to make it work but it seems like there should be a better way to solve the problem.

By default, overlaying vectors within a selection of vectors are shown in red. You can use the Vector Doctor's Duplicates button or the Edit > Select All > Duplicate vectors menu option to identify all duplicate vectors in your model they are very often overlaying vectors. Grouping the open vectors will not resolve your issue, although joining each of them together possibly would. Based on the information you've provided, it seems as though you have a collection of open vectors, some of which are overlaying. In order to create your toolpath, you'll need to ensure that your vector artwork is closed. For example, ArtCAM Express 2015.SP4 (64-bit build 339). What build of ArtCAM Express 2015 are you working in? To confirm this, select the Help > About ArtCAM Express menu option in your ArtCAM Express software. When connecting the vectors I entered in the coordinates to be the same x and y. I even tried just connecting two curved vectors and trying to make a toolpath but I still get the same error. Any thoughts? I've spent a ridiculous amount of money on this program for it to not work. I've grouped all the vectors together (which is supposed to show errors) and everything looks fine. When I try to use the vector doctor it shows at every intersection where I made a new vector there is a problem. Whenever I try creating a toolpath I get an error message stating that two or more vectors overlap. I'm trying to create a toolpath for a simple stool.
